In the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day, 3rd grade students made cards for patients receiving treatments at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Each valentine was special and unique, with messages designed to inspire and make people smile. Ms. Cunningham went to Dana-Farber last Tuesday, and put one valentine in each of 250 patient gift bags that are delivered monthly by Friends of Dana-Farber – an all-volunteer organization that funds research and provides patient services that enhance Dana-Farber’s healing environment. What a festive mood the cards created, and a reminder that small acts of kindness really do make a big difference!
