Food Drive for The Open Door Pantry

On behalf of the Parents' Association, I am thrilled to share with you the incredible outcome of our Thanksgiving Food Drive to support The Open Door Pantry in Gloucester. Last Friday, after two weeks of collecting, the 3rd grade sorted and graphed all of the canned goods and the 5th grade weighed each item and helped load the donations into the car. Altogether, we collected 411 cans and non-perishables which weighed just under 500 pounds! Thank you for your generosity and for helping others in our community enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. My husband, Paul, and I were fortunate to be able to deliver the food last Friday with our children, Jacob and Madeleine. The volunteers and patrons at The Open Door who helped us unload were so appreciative and asked me to convey their thanks and good wishes for Thanksgiving. It is with much gratitude that I pass on these wishes and add my own as well. How lucky we are to be a part of such a kind and generous community!

Wishing you and yours a happy Thanksgiving.

Warmly,
Anne
